2006 November - Awards for All Grant to Fund

Community Artwork Project

The Forum has received a grant of £3,350 from Awards for All to create a piece of artwork on the skate park at the recreation ground.

The artwork will transform a sterile environment to a vibrant and colourful amenity. The Forum in conjunction with North Tyneside Council and Burradon Primary School held an open day on the 24th September 2006 which was attended by members of the local community.

Designs for the artwork were submitted by the community and will be incorporated into the final design.

It is anticipated that the project will be completed in the near future and it is hoped the artwork will deter any graffiti or vandalism to the skate park.
