Camperdown and Burradon Community Agreement Monitoring Progress Report
A meeting of the signatories was held on 5 October 2006 to discuss any progress following the introduction of the agreement.
Ward Councillor and Deputy Mayor Jim Allan is keen to demonstrate to local community that the agreement has tangible benefits for residents and hopefully assure people that the situation in the village will continue to be monitored.
Tish Hall North Tyneside Council Housing Manager provided the following statistics:
The estate caretakers have completed 7 garden tidies for elderly tenants, they also moved on 25 occasions rubbish from tenants gardens,and also completed 11 tidy ups on communal areas which are the responsibility of Housing Services.
In addition through an agreement with Housing Services the Probation Services carried out 3 garden tidy ups.
There have been Two ABA surgeries for the area held on 27.07.06 and 19.09.06 where a total of Six A.B.A.s were signed.
100 letters were delivered in August regarding the Councils Play code after complaints were received about Ball games.
85 letters were delivered in Allanville concerning youths gathering and causing nuisance and annoyance to the residents.
320 letters were delivered in Camperdown regarding the outcome of a successful Court case where the tenant from Moor View had been causing Nuisance and Annoyance.
The Housing Officer for Burradon and Camperdown visits the area on at least twice a week, and the Patch Manager visits once a week.
9 properties have been allocated since April in Burradon and Camperdown.
A letter drop is planned for next week advising residents of action that Places for People had undertaken in one of their properties.
North Tyneside Council, Places for People, and Northumbria Police are committed maintaining the recent momentum and the benefits the Community Agreement delivers to the quality of service to the local community.
The partners request that local residents provide details of any issues or concerns in order that matters may be resolved to the satisfaction of the community.
In particular, Northumbria Police request that all matters of criminal or anti-social behaviour are reported, telephone 2146555 or alternatively on 101. Please note there is no requirement to provide your name.
Working in partnership will ensure that the quality of life of all residents is protected and the individuals involved in unacceptable behaviour will be prosecuted.
