The recent Ofsted inspection has rated Burradon Primary as an outstanding school. The parents will be extremely pleased and reassured that the schools care guidance and support for its children received an excellent assessment and the children are happy at school.
The schools curriculum was regarded as good and the new facilities particularly the IT suite will enable the children to continue to progress and succeed.
The excellent Ofsted report follows the excellent results Burradon Primary School has achieved in the previous 3 years of SATS and as a consequence the school has been ranked within the top 10 schools in North Tyneside during the period.

The Headmaster, Teachers, Governors and children deserve the wonderful recognition and the schools success is attributable to all their hard work and the village will benefit hugely from its growing reputation for academic achievements and the emphasis on the care and welfare of the children.
Mr Gilfillan, Headmaster of Burradon Primary School stated:
"This has been a really important year in the life of Burradon Primary School. We moved into our new building in April 2006 and we are all now fully enjoying the wonderful resources and superb sports facilities. Also in July two school inspectors from the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) visited the school to carry out a thorough review of all aspects of our work. We were delighted with the final report. The inspectors judged that the school was 'outstanding' in the way in which the children were cared for, guided and supported and the children's behaviour was described as being 'exemplary.' The inspectors particularly noted the strong links the school had with parents and the local community saying that the school's development was 'much appreciated by the whole school community and by partners who are working hard to regenerate the area.'
We are determined to build upon our recent successes and we are looking forward to working closely with parents and the local people in order to provide a first class education for the children of the village."
