AGENDA: CELEBRATION OF 10 YEARS OF THE FORUM

The minutes of the meeting held on 3 October 2006 were approved.

Mr Wray: Do we want a celebration?

Mr Burrage: Possible a week of events

Mrs Isbister: We don’t have enough volunteers to arrange a week of events and we should concentrate on 1 event

Mr Wray: Suggested hiring Jason as he has been popular at previous events

Mr Gillander: The event will attract funding as it’s purpose is to celebrate the achievements of the community. It is important to prepare a summary of anticipated costs.

RESOLUTION: Any profit from the celebration is to be donated to the Club to pay for an event for the old people of the village.

The following agreed to act as a sub-committee to organise the event:

Mrs Watson: Aware of a tribute band which may perform for free.

Mrs Glennie: Tea dance for the old people from the funds

Mrs Isbister: Arrange a buffet

Mrs Lapsley: Explained her role to work with local groups in the area.

PC Ramsay: Advised people present of the command structure of the Forest Hall station and the deployment of resources.

Operations focusing on drug dealing and anti-social behaviour in the area.

The number of PCSO’s may increase in the future,however,specific details are not available at present.

Cllr Allan: Provided an update of issues affecting the village in particular the sale of the Police House, development of the primary school site and the redevelopment of the Grey Horse.

Mrs Isbister: People in village do not want council houses built on the school site due to the problems experienced in the past and the location is important to people visiting or passing through the village and has to be developed properly.

Resolutions:

£300 donated to the school for benches

£50 donated to Matthew Latimer for the tournament in Ireland
