Plans Submitted to Develop the Former Police House,
Station Road, Camperdown

Cheviot Architectural Services has submitted plans on behalf of S V Rutter Ltd to construct 12 flats on the land at Station Road, Camperdown.

The plans and associated documents are available for inspection at North Tyneside Council’s Offices at Head of Development, PO Box 113, Station Road, Killingworth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 6WJ. Alternatively, the plans may be viewed on North Tyneside Council’s website (www.northtyneside.gov.uk/planning.htm Ref No: 07/01085/ful) and residents may submit representations and monitor the progress on the determination of the application.

The redevelopment of the site will remove an eyesore which has blighted the lives of the residents in the locality and will improve visitor’s perception of the village.

The derelict property has attracted gangs of youths lately and has been a focal point for underage drinking and anti-social behaviour. Hopefully, following the demolition of the former police house the incidents of anti-social behaviour will decrease which will improve the resident’s quality of life.
